Samantha "Sam" Newly is left in a coma for a week following a terrible accident. When she awakes, Sam has no memory of any past experiences or events and must start her life over. However, Sam quickly discovers that instead of being a good-hearted person, she was self-centered, narcissistic, and failed to have any real relationships a person that most people disliked. Now, faced with amnesia, Sam must try to right her wrongs and struggle with the desire to regress back to her old ways. Starting over and drawing the line between good and evil proves harder than Sam ever thought.
Samantha wakes up in the hospital with no idea where she is or who the family and friends gathered around her are. Following the accident, Sam suffers from retrograde amnesia and has no memories post-accident, but is able to fully function. To some this may be a curse, but for Sam it gives her a chance to rediscover herself and be a better person the second time around since before the accident she was a horrible person, vain, selfish and had more enemies than friends.
